"100-thousand Homes" campaign results

Last week we told you about a homelessness survey being done on Oahu.

And now the results are in.

Over the past week volunteers collected data from 439 homeless people.

196 on the Waianae Coast, 135 in Honolulu and 108 in Waikiki.

Of those surveyed about a third of them had at least one high risk indicator such as a chronic medical condition.

The oldest homeless person they found was 97 years old, living in Waianae.

The survey was all part of a campaign called "100-thousand Homes" a nationwide effort to move the most vulnerable homeless into housing.
