$200,000 bail for former manager of puppy mill

An Oahu judge doubled the bail amount for the former manager of a Waimanalo puppy farm.

David Lee Becker appeared in district court facing 153 counts of animal cruelty.

Becker was extradited from Las Vegas.

Becker told the judge he went to Vegas to help a family member.

An attorney representing the Hawaiian Humane Society argued in court that Becker is a flight risk.

The judge increased Becker’s bail to $200,000.

Becker is expected back in court on Thursday.
