3 arrested after allegedly selling stolen Maui bus passes online

Three suspects have been charged in connection with selling stolen Maui bus passes on a website.

Maui police say undercover officers conducted an investigation to purchase the bus passes from the suspects.

Authorities arrested and charged 23-year-old Cole Santiago of Wailuku, 23-year-old Mikail Honokaupu of Waiehu, and 53-year-old Anthony Davis of Wailuku, for theft in the third degree.

Officers recovered 31 Maui bus passes valued at $124. Officials say stolen $4 Maui passes were sold for $2 online.

Bail was set at 200 dollars each.

All three suspects were released on bail.
