A 3-year old boy was taken to the hospital early Saturday morning after apparently being shot by his father on accident. It happened on Ala Ilima Street in the Salt Lake area shortly after midnight. Officials say the man was cleaning his rifle went it went off.
Paramedics transported the boy to a trauma center in serious condition.
