Maui officials say 911 services are back in operation on Molokai after a brushfire damaged the phone lines.
Residents were asked to call an alternate phone while the 911 services were being repaired.
Meanwhile, firefighters have contained two brushfires on the island.
According to Maui County fire officials, the brushfires are about a quarter mile away from each other near the 3-mile marker on Maunaloa Highway and were reported just after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Officials say the first fire is about 5,000 square feet and the other is about 15 to 20 acres.
The fires were contained around 3:30 p.m.
Officials say no injuries or evacuations were reported and no structures have been damaged.
As a precaution the landfill on Molokai has been closed due to its close proximity to the fires.
