The sentencing hearing for former Honolulu City Councilman Rod Tam has been postponed yet again.
Tam appeared in District Court Tuesday afternoon ready to accept his sentence, but the judge postponed the hearing to give the city time to calculate how much it will demand from Tam in restitution
In June, Tam pled "no contest" to eight charges, including misuse of campaign funds for personal business, false reporting, and failing to report campaign funds.
All are misdemeanors.
Last November, Tam pled guilty to 26 counts for overcharging the city for meals.
He could face several years in jail for his violations, although his attorney says that is unlikely.
Tam, who previously served in the State Legislature as a Senator and Representative, unsuccessfully ran for Honolulu Mayor last year and is no longer holding elective office.
