Former Lieutenant Governor "Duke" Aiona, who lost a bid to become governor last year, says he will not run for Congress in 2012.
The made the announcement on his website saying "I have no desire to leave my home in Hawaii and relocate to Washington, D.C."
Aiona thanked his supporters who want him back in public office.
He has not ruled out running for governor in 2014.
