Record breaking ukulele ensemble planned for October

Plans are being made for an attempt at breaking the world record for the largest ukulele ensemble.

Jake Shimabukuro has signed on for the "Go for Da Record" event being held October 22 at the Waikiki Shell.

More than 851 people will need to play the same song in unison for at least five minutes.

Shimabukuro is composing the song.

Proceeds from a $10 participation fee will be donated to "Rainbow for Japan Kids" and to music programs in Hawaii schools.
