Worker shortage closes Kealakekua Public Library temporarily

 

Kealakekua Public Library on the Big Island, will close temporarily from Saturday, September 3 – October 2 due to a staffing shortage. 

While the Library is closed, patrons may visit the Kailua-Kona Public Library (75-138 Hualalai Road; telephone: 327-4327).  Please contact the Kailua-Kona Public Library for its current public service hours.   

Kealakekua Public Library patrons are advised the book drop will be closed starting Friday, September 2 at 4 p.m. until 8 a.m. on Monday, October 3.

During this time, Library patrons may return borrowed items to any other public library. Patrons can also request assistance from library staff to designate an alternate pick-up site for reserved items.       

In addition, patrons who were notified of reserved items being available for pick up may do so by 4 p.m. on September 2 or wait until the library is scheduled to reopen at noon on October 3.
