Survey: Hawaii tops nation in well-being

Hawaii is setting the standards for well-being according to a new survey.

It’s a mid-year poll of some key factors like emotional and physical health, work environment and healthy behaviors.

A score of 100 would represent ideal well-being. The average score for Hawaii was 71.1, the best in the nation.

The nationwide well-being score was 66.4 percent, down slightly compared to last year.

Western states generally scored well in the survey.

The state with the lowest well-being was West Virginia.
