Suspect in pharmacy robbery caught on surveillance cameras

A pharmacy owner is asking for help after his store was burglarized.

Surveillance video shows the man trying to break in to Medical Center Pharmacy on the third floor of Aiea Shopping Center just after 7 o’clock Sunday morning.

After 25 minutes, the door finally opened, and the man headed straight for the cash register.

He was out in 30 seconds and did not take any drugs.

"Surprised in a way but they were just going for the easiest and fastest thing, the drugs you would have had to be kind of looking around, and most of anything that’s good is locked up," says Mark Gregory of the Medical Center Pharmacy.

In response to the break-in, the store has changed its policies and reduced the amount of cash kept in the register.

If you have any information that can help investigators, call Honolulu police.
