Rescue crews airlift woman from King’s Trail in Makena

A 6-year-old Kihei woman was airlifted from King’s Trail near La Perouse Bay in Makena, Satrday afternoon. Firefighters responded to a call at 4:39 p.m. of a female hiker on the trail that was feeling ill and could not walk out on her own. A ladder crew from Wailea and a rescue crew from Kahului onboard Air 1 responded to the area to search for the woman.
