The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for all leeward locations of all islands until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Forecasters say persistent dry conditions and increasing trade winds will pose an increased threat for brushfires especially over leeward areas.
Wind speeds are expected to be between 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts.
A red flag warning means critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly.
