Eye Surgery Center of Hawaii holds open house

The Eye Surgery Center of Hawaii held an open house Tuesday night.

The center with three operating rooms has the capacity to perform up to 15,000 surgeries a year.

13 of Hawaii’s opthamologists worked with Skai Ventures to create the facility to serve Hawaii and the Asia-Pacific region.

"We feel Hawaii is a perfect location for Asia-Pacific patients to come and have their visual restoration surgeries done," said Dr. Hank Wuh, CEO of Skai Ventures.

The facility is located at the Dole Cannery in Iwilei.
