Update: Big Island brush fire 50% contained

A wildfire at the Army's Pohakuloa Training Area has burned 1,100 acres according to the U.S. Army.  Officials say the fire continues to spread northeast in the direction of Saddle Road which remains closed due to heavy smoke and flames.
