Two Honolulu police officers have been charged with tampering of government records.
Prosecutors say Sergeant Mitchell Tojio and Officer Jim Yasue were conducting a clinic at Kalihi Valley District Park Gym in november of ’09 when Tojio injured his wrist.
He filed a workers comp claim.
Officer Yasue prepared the report.
HPD Internal Affairs began investigating after receiving an anonymous letter.
Sergeant Tojio has been with HPD for 25 years and Officer Yasue has 15 years of service.
Both officers were placed on restrictive duty and are expected back in court on October 26.
