Big Island firefighters douse brush fire in O’okala

Firefighters were busy in at brush fire in O’okala on the Big Island.

Firefighters and civilians on the scene rushed to put out a brush fire that broke out about 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon near the 30 mile marker on Highway 19.

Fire officials say this fire burned about six to eight acres before it was extinguished.

The cause remains under investigation.
