For the third time in just over a month, Matson is reducing its fuel surcharge.
Effective Sunday, the rate for Hawaii service will drop from 42.5 percent to 40.5 percent.
That translates to between $60 and $105 less per container.
Matson says bunker fuel prices continue to drop, so it has been able to drop the fuel surcharge by seven percent over the past six weeks.
