Soldier from Waipahu honored for response to Afghan ambush

Army Pfc. Edward Barut of Waipahu was among a dozen service members assigned to NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan honored Sunday for their actions during an ambush Wednesday in Afghanistan’s Tangi Valley.
