On Sunday, Kauai police arrested an Anahola man in connection with a road rage incident in Lawai.
According to police officials, 44-year-old Ryan Cummings was arrested after he allegedly assaulted another man after the man overtook Cummings’ vehicle on the road.
Police say the victim, who was a visitor to the island, had overtaken Cummings’ near the Omao Bridge. Police then say Cummings allegedly drove after the visitor and stopped the visitor’s vehicle by blocking it with his truck.
Cummings then allegedly approached the victim and struck him several times.
The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention. Police located Cummings a short while later and arrested him on one count of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. Cummings was released after posting bail of $1,000.
