Honolulu police are looking for a man who tried to kidnap two children in Waipahu.
It happened on Monday, Oct. 31 at around 2 p.m.
The mother reported the incident to police on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
The victims are a 7-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother.
Police say the siblings were picked up after school by a man who claimed to be a friend of their mother.
Their mother observed her children getting into the suspect’s vehicle and she followed the vehicle.
Police say the mother and suspect exchanged words while the children managed to leave the suspect’s vehicle.
He then fled and has not yet been identified.
