Russia’s president Dmitri Medvedev arrived at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam Friday morning for APEC.
Major roads including Nimitz or the H-1 Freeway were closed in the townbound direction between the base past the Honolulu Airport and Waikiki.
Late Friday night around 10:35 p.m., President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama arrive, and once again the route to Waikiki will be shut down for their transit.
The second event for APEC Leader’s week which covers the APEC Leaders Meeting, takes place on Saturday, November 12, at the Hale Koa Hotel and on Sunday, November 13, at the Ihilani Resort.
