Generator problems caused a helicopter to make a precautionary landing on a drag strip on Hawaii island Monday.
The Blue Hawaiian helicopter made the landing at about 2:30 p.m. just south of Hilo Airport.
Company officials say the helicopter’s generator was not producing as much power as it should which prompted the "precautionary landing."
State transportation officials say six people were on board. No one was injured.
Last Thursday, five people were killed when a Blue Hawaiian helicopter crashed on Molokai.
