A 12-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly striking a classmate with a sharp object during a fight.
It happened Friday morning at Washington Middle School.
According to police the boy and another 12-year-old boy got into a disagreement during class and that is when the fight ensued.
Police say the victim was not seriously hurt during the fight.
The 12-year-old suspect was arrested on second-degree assault charges, but was released pending investigation.
