Honolulu — Kauai’s top blood donors will gather at Dondero’s in Grand Hyatt Hotel on Wednesday, January 11, 11:30 a.m., and Mayor Bernard Cravalho will be among the first to thank them at Blood Bank of Hawaii’s Kauai Volunteer Donor Recognition Lunch. The annual event will honor Kauai’s Super Donors, who have given at least 56 pints of blood, and Century Donors for their commitment to saving lives for more than 10 years.
This year’s theme is “The Magic of You.” To recognize donors for selflessly giving the gift of life and creating magic in the lives of Hawaii’s patients, Mayor Bernard Cravalho will proclaim January 2012 as Volunteer Blood Donor Month for the County of Kauai.
Kauai radio personality Ron Wiley will emcee the event. Award-winning musician Tommy Tokioka will entertain guests.
