Tonight at Ten: State building hit by bed bug problem

Today a vector control inspector found a live bed bug in a chair on the first floor of the Kapolei state building.

As a result a half dozen chairs from one of the building’s offices were lined up outside near the parking lot. Each one wrapped in black plastic with a sign that read "Bed bugs – don’t touch."

But shortly after our cameras got there, the bags were torn off and the chairs were placed back for use in the office.

Some visitors to the state building didn’t like what they saw. How the State vector control branch is explaining the decision to return the chairs tonight on the KHON2 News at Ten.
