Hurt kittens rescued from Waimanalo property

More than a dozen cats were seized from a Waimanalo property this afternoon.

Hawaiian Humane society officials said there were about 50 cats on the property, but they only removed the animals that were in the worst condition.

Thirteen cats are being checked by veterinarians for respiratory ailments, eye injuries, and skin infections.

The Hawaiian Humane Society has opened an official animal cruelty case.
