Honolulu firefighters cancelled their search Friday morning for a missing diver.
A blue kayak was found by standup paddle boarders about a mile from Kualoa point Thursday.
Officials on Friday said the kayak’s owner called Coast Guard and said he lost it while diving on Wednesday.
Fire officials confirmed the information and cancelled the search around 8:00 a.m.
