A reminder that tonight there’s a very important informational meeting coming up with the State Department of Transportation in regards to the Kahului Airport runway 2-20 structural improvements project.
The meeting will take place at the Pomaikai Elementary School cafeteria located at 4650 South Kamehameha Avenue in Kahului at 6:30.
The purpose is to inform the public about the current condition of the runway, present several repair options that are being considered and discuss possible short-term and long-term effects of these options.
According to the DOT, the meeting will allow the community a chance to identify and respond to areas of concern and interest relating to each of these options.
