The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for the leeward areas of all islands.
The watch will be in effect from Sunday morning through Sunday afternoon.
According to the NWS, trade winds will strengthen Sunday with gusts up to 35 miles per hour. The strong winds coupled with dry weather and high pressure could lead to fire weather conditions, meaning that fires could quickly spread in the affected areas.
