UPDATE: Power restored in Ewa Beach after wind causes outage

UPDATE: Hawaiian Electric crews are restored power to some 645 customers in the Ewa Beach area.

According to Hawaiian Electric officials, outage was reported around 11:00 a.m. and power was able restored around 12:15 p.m.

Officials say the outage mainly affected areas near Hanakahi Street and Fort Weaver Road.

HECO officials say wind was to blame for the outage, but details of how the wind affected power were not available.
