The Kahului Public Library will host "Heavens Above – Faulkes Telescope Live at the Library," a free program featuring a live feed from a telescope atop Haleakala on Tuesday, February 21 at 7 p.m.
Dr. James Armstrong from Maui Technology Education & Outreach Specialist for the Institute of Astronomy will use the Internet to control where the Faulkes 2-meter telescope points with the help of the audience. Those who are interested in attending this two-hour program are advised that Kahului Public Library will close at 8 p.m. on February 21, and no one will be admitted after the library closes. The program is suitable for ages seven and older. Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
