Every year thousands of Maui residents come out to celebrate a saltwater migration of sea life. The World Whale Day and Maui’s Parade of Whales, both in Kihei, expect to bring in 17,000 people, combined.
The festival will bring in musical guests Anuhea, Hapa, John Cruz, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Marty Dread, Nuff Sedd, Willie K and Nanute’a Nui E. It begins with the stepping off of the parade on South Kihei Road at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The events are free to the public.
