The County of Hawaii is accepting donations to aid victims of Typhoon Sendong now through March 3.
They will take new or slightly used children’s clothing, footwear, toiletries, and school supplies. Donated items will be sent to Mindanao in the Philippines, where the typhoon and subsequent flooding left over a thousand residents dead and many homeless.
In Hilo, drop donations off during business hours at Kamaaina Nissan in Keaukaha or Kamaaina Motors on Kawili Street.
In Kona, bring donations the Information Desk at the West Hawaii Civic Center.
