Viewers across the country were able to escape to Hawaii thanks to television host Kelly Ripa who’s filming a week’s worth of shows at Disney’s Aulani resort.
Kelly kicked off Monday’s show with guest co-host actor Daniel Dae Kim.
But the highlight of the hour-long episode was Kelly’s catamaran sail along the leeward coast on a Hawaii Nautical boat to see whales, spinner dolphins, and to snorkel.
The captain of the boat is Doug Ewalt, the husband of KHON2 reporter Gina Mangieri.
KHON2 will have more behind the scenes reports from the taping of the "Live! With Kelly" show on Wednesday and Thursday.
