The Aloha Medical Mission is preparing to send off its fourth mission team of 2012. It will be a total of 50 volunteer doctors, nurses and laypeople.
Led by Dr. Bradley Wong, the team will travel at their own expense to provide free health care to citizens of Talibon, Bohol, from February 27 to March 2, and Bocolod-Silay, Negros Occidental, from March 5-9.
Throughout the entire trip, the team hopes to perform 200 major surgical operations, 300 minor outpatient procedures and 200 tooth extractions, as well as fit 40 hand prostheses on amputees.
On February 23, at 6:15 a.m., 14 of the volunteers will gather at the Philippine Airlines ticket counter in the Honolulu International Airport. They will meet the rest of the team in the Philippines.
