Middle and high school students representing 30 public, private, charter, and home schools will be competing in the 8th Annual Statewide Science Olympiad Tournament on March 3, 2012 at Leeward Community College.
At Science Olympiad tournaments students will participate in events covering a wide spectrum of fields related to science, technology, engineering, and math. Topics include astronomy, biology, chemistry, engineering, genetics, medicine, and rocketry.
The top middle and high schools will qualify to compete in the 28th Annual National Science Olympiad Tournament in May 2012 at the University of Central Florida.
