A new headquarters and visitor center for the Kealia Pond and National Wildlife refuge is now open.
A blessing and dedication was held for the 7,500 square foot facility on Maui. It replaces a 672 square foot trailer.
The project was paid for with $4.9 million from a federal re-investment act.
More than 10,000 people visit the refuge each year.
