Dean of College of Arts and Humanities finalists will visit UH Manoa campus in March

Four finalists have been identified for the position of Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa.  Each of the four is scheduled to participate in a two-day period visit that includes college department discussions; meetings with senior administrators, faculty, staff, students and members of his/her respective profession; and a public presentation.
 
Campus and community members are encouraged to attend the public presentations.

The campus visits of the four candidates have been scheduled as follows:

Dr. Thomas Bingham, visiting March 5-6

Dr. Peter Arnade, visiting March 8-9

Public Presentation:  Thursday, March 9, 3:00-4:15 p.m./George Hall 227
 
Dr. Carol Richardson, visiting March 19-20
Professor, Department of Music
California State Polytechnic University, Pomona
Public Presentation:  Tuesday, March 20, 3:00-4:15 p.m./Crawford Hall 115

Dr. R. Anderson Sutton, visiting March 22-23
Professor, School of Music
University of Wisconsin – Madison
Public Presentation:  Thursday, March 23, 3:00-4:15 p.m./George Hall 227

"The Search Advisory Committee has done an excellent job of identifying a pool of highly qualified candidates," said Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw.  Added Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Reed Dasenbrock, "With the completion of this search, UH Mānoa will have permanent leadership in the four colleges of Arts and Sciences for the first time in a long time.  This search is therefore pivotal to our efforts to move forward undergraduate education at Mānoa."
