Hawaii’s Most Wanted: Molitungua Taione

On this edition of Hawaii’s Most Wanted, we feature a man who’s wanted in connection with a car break in case.

Honolulu police are looking for Molitungua Taione.

"On November 4, 2011, the complaint and his friends parked their vehicle at Laie Point Wayward State Park, which is a Jeep they pulled up, there were four of them.  They got out of the car to sightsee. The victim turned around and saw a male entering the Jeep and remove something. He walked back to the Jeep and noticed that his iPhone, which was in the charger, had been taken," said Sgt. Kim Buffett of CrimeStoppers.

The victim called police and tracked down his iPhone using the "find my phone" feature.

Taione was arrested for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

He’s now wanted on a 33-thousand dollar warrant for not showing up for his trial call or change of plea last month.

Molitungua Taione is 25-years-old, 6’2" tall, 190 pounds.

"He has one prior and that’s just for driving without a license," Buffett says. "And he’s known to frequent the Laie area."
