Aliviado goes 4-4, ‘Bows complete sweep of Wagner

 For the first time since 2007, University of Hawaii baseball team completed a five game series sweep. ‘Bows beat Wagner, 19-2 on sunday at Les Murakami Stadium. In the victory, Freshman left fielder and 2005 Little League World Series Champion out of Ewa Beach, Ka’eo Aliviado went 4-4 with 2 walks, 2 runs, and 2 RBI. Breland Almadova had an inside the park homerun, driving in 4 runs of his own. UH now 6-3 will return to play on Thursday, opening a 4 game series against Wichita State.

 Also on Sunday:

 UH Football Head Coach Norm Chow has already locked up a verbal commitment for the class of 2013. Kahuku Junior Offensive Lineman, John Wa’a gave the Warriors his word this weekend. Wa’a is 6’6" 279 lbs.

 And the ASP’s Season Opening Quiksilver Pro continued at Snapper Rocks in Australia today. 11 time World Champion Kelly Slater eliminated Haleiwa’s Fred Pattachia in Round 3. Over in the Women’s Roxy Pro…Defending World Champ Carissa Moore and fellow Hawaii product Malia Manuel both remain in contention. Surf permitting…Contest could wrap up by Tuesday.
