The reapportionment commission presented yet another version of voting district maps to the public today.
Under the redrawn maps, Waialua is no longer in the same district as Makakilo.
And the formerly split communities of Newtown and Ocean Pointe have been reunited.
Final approval could come this Wednesday.
However, the commission still has to decide which Senate districts will receive 2 year terms versus 4 year terms for the 2012 election.
Due to reapportionment, the senate terms have to be staggered every 10 years.
Under state law there will still be 45 days to mount a court challenge to the final map.
