A man has been arrested in connection with a crash in the Ward area Saturday night.
Police say the driver of a stolen van was avoiding being stopped by police when he ran a red light on Lunalilo Street and crashed into two vehicles.
The suspect ran off, causing police swat officers to conduct a search for him that lasted several hours.
Early Tuesday morning, police arrested the 34-year-old man after he tried to break into his sister’s apartment building.
Charges of auto theft, drugs, and resisting arrest are pending.
