Red Cross volunteers assess storm damage on Kauai, Maui

Red Cross volunteers spent Saturday morning canvassing the damage on Kauai, Oahu and Maui.
Sixty-three homes on the Garden Isle were damaged by the storm.
The heavy rain flooded homes and roads.
It also created a huge sinkhole on Pua Nani Street in Lihue, near the Pua Loke subdivision.
Meanwhile, up on the North Shore, officials have finally reopened Hanalei Bridge to one lane of traffic.
Hanalei was among the areas hardest hit by the storm.
Red cross officials say six homes on the island were damaged in the storm.
Earlier in the week, Hana took the brunt of the storm.
An overflow of water made a six-foot-deep ravine on Uakea Road near the Hana Police Station.
Landslides along Hana Highway closed the roadway, but it has since been reopened.
Residents in south and central Maui were also asked to boil their water after possible contamination, but water testing showed there to be no contaminants in the water.
