Fire destroys unfinished building in Haiku, Maui

An early morning fire on Loomis Road in Haiku, Maui destroyed an unfinished building.

According to Maui fire officials, they were called to the burning two-story building at 4:50 a.m. When they arrived at scene the building was fully involved in flames.

Crews were able to get the fire under control after about two hours.

No one was hurt or displaced by the fire, however the fire caused a total of $100,000 worth of damage.

Fire officials have deemed the fire to be accidental.  The cause is undetermined.
