The Hawaiian Humane Society is asking for your help with a suspected animal cruelty case.
They’re trying to find out who’s responsible for hanging a dog in west Oahu.
Humane Society officials are describing it as a disturbing case.
After receiving a tip from the public, officials discovered a dog hanging from a bridge near Makua Cave.
Officials believe the dog, may have been dead for at least a week.
It did not have a collar or a microchip.
The humane society does not know the breed of the dog, but believes it weighs about 50 pounds.
They express deep concern over this case…and also say it is very rare.
”We don’t see this kind of cruelty very often and because of this circumstances and unknown situation, we’re not quite sure what may have led to the dog’s death,” said Jacque Leblanc of the Hawaiian Humane Society.
The humane society is offering up to $2,500 for any tips leading to an arrest and conviction in this suspected animal cruelty case.
If you have any information, you can contact the humane society at #356-2250.
