Off the news: Judge sides with Hawaii, blocks HHS cuts

An important win for public health and welfare came last Tuesday, when federal Judge Melissa DuBose blocked implementation of harmful layoffs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The job cuts are being opposed in a lawsuit filed by Hawaii, 18 other states and the District of Columbia.
