Off the news: Honolulu waits for new speed limit signs

Concluding that 20 miles per hour is safer than 25 mph in school zones, on Honolulu park roads or any other city roads not otherwise labeled, the Honolulu City Council passed Bill 44, now Ordinance 24-32, slowing down traffic around Oahu. The speed limit’s even slower on Ala Moana Park Drive, in Kailua Beach Park and on public school grounds, at 15 mph.
