Some Kailua residents are looking for answers after vandals cut through one of their signs promoting a fundraiser.
The incident happened sometime this Sunday morning.
The banner was placed on a fence in front of enchanted lake elementary school to advertise an upcoming event called "Eat Out Kailua."
The event raises raises money for the school and a Kailua youth baseball team.
"I was shocked, I couldn’t believe someone would have enough nerve to do something like that, especially to an elementary school. That’s just sad," exclaimed Enchanted Lake parent Nachelle Hepfner.
The event’s organizers say they’ve filed a police report. They plan on putting up another banner advertising the fundraiser.
Eat Out Kailua will be held on the 21st of April.
