Army breaks ground for new command and control facility

The Army broke ground today on a new command and control facility at Fort Shafter.

Currently.. the U.S. Army Pacific operates out of a dozen World War II era wooden structures.

The project is expected to be complete in a little more than two years.

Its part of the military’s shift to put a strategic emphasis on the Asia Pacific region.
